About Campau Co
Developers, operators, and the professionals who get the deal done
Campau Co is a Hamtramck-based, vertically integrated development firm, with an emphasis on restoring vacant and historic buildings located in traditional main street areas. Since 2018 we have acquired, renovated and operated a number of buildings in and around historic Downtown Hamtramck, and we are currently expanding our footprint to Mid-Michigan with pipeline projects coming in Downtown Flint and Downtown Saginaw.
While we remain a small and scrappy team of overachievers, our bench is unusual for a firm of our size: attorneys, brokers, CPAs, and CFAs who have successfully closed and executed complex capital stacks, raised institutional and private capital and managed construction projects from design through to operations. We live in the communities we build in and hold ourselves to the high standard that our lenders, partners, and neighbors expect.

What We Value
Why (and how) we do it
Historic Preservation
We restore rather than replace; there is immeasurable value in our historic resources. And once they're gone, they aren't coming back.
Community First
Every project is measured by what it gives back to the neighborhood.
Michigan Roots
We live in the communities we build in, and we build to own for the long term.
Financial Rigor
Purpose-driven development, structured and underwritten with fiscal discipline.
